that damaged smokestone saff is a low spec GT i think 2.0 DOHC twincam, and yeah it done the damage on the track as damo was showing just what my xr can do, if you look at the vid of damos lap you might see it to the left hand side of the track with the marshalls ready to recover it.

Theres a video of my lap and damo's lap on youtube, links are on my facebook page, i'll post a couple up on here.

Organisation of the trip was courtosy of Damocos, if your intrested for next years trip i'll keep you informed of info as and when it starts.

Im currently looking into a trip to the French Alps, should prove fun

Yeah, that stacked car is at 8.39 on the second vid. Not nice.

Ring looks a very cool thing to do. I wouldn't mind a drive around just to say I'd done it. I think my lap would also be like a grannies, probably slower  Wink How many times did you get passed? Actually I did see you pass someone too. Fiat Panda or something. Hope you took the PBF stickers off your windscreen LOL.

And to think that German girl took a van around in just over 10 mins!

If your going to do it, i'd recommend you take a trip over with a few people that have done it before and know there way round it, just so they can give you an indication of which direction and how tight, my first lap was blind as all 4 of us in the car hadn't a clue where we were going, was also at a weight disadvantage due to carrying about 18 stone of scotland about in the back seat. It's definately a place to visit and drive round it at least once.

I've just found a variation on the usual Ring sticker that would suit me:
