hi im nigel, i own a '89 sierra xr4x4 2.9v6, some people probably already know me from the xr owners club, come on here as hoping to pick everyones brain on a 24v conversion seeing as my old 12v is reaching the 200 thousand mile mark and is dropping oil from every gap it can find.
might have sourced a 24v boa lump near to me with 85 thou on it and service history but will get it checked before fitting,
i'm told taps is the man to ask, my bro highly reccomends you as you worked on his 24v couple of years ago (e500 fcj) and it ended up in performance ford afterwards in the xroc session at castle coombe.
will get pics up of the project work in progress soon

yeah good, bloke was a bit of a talker, he got about 7 cos 24v grannys and engines in his garden, 1 or 2 are a bit naff but this one is good, tried tellin me i dont need the egr thing on the inner wing but i insisted along with the mounting bracket for power steering res.
getting the header tank with it and all ancillaries and comlete loom even though he recons i wont need all the internal stuff.
im still havin it though.
picking it up next sunday complete with subframe and rack, only thing missing is the flywheel.
once i got it will sort out a date for u to take a look at it see wat u think
