If you ask at Duxford i will gladly open the boa up for you Smiley.
Took it for its' maiden voyage this morn, with the new throttle cable routing it appears to be snagging and not letting throttle shut off properly.
Initial run was good other than that though, 20 miles unhindered by technical difficulties, i wish roads were clear of Sunday drivers though.
With throttle briefly nailed it first went to 7PSI, then dropped to 5PSI and it held that, so my original calculations were not too far out (or i should say persons calcs on here / ford power were not too far out).
With the car out of the garage there is a distinctive whine coming from the bonnet area up to about 3000RPM anything after that and the sidepipes drown every single noise out within a 3 mile radius.
MOT is hopefully this Thursday, so if it does fail i have 2 weeks before it runs out.
Cheers for all the support one and all.

Hi Paul
Sorry for the delay in replying. Where do i start?
I got the blower setup on the engine complete with aftermarket FSE rising rate fuel pressure regulator. I took the instructions on the FSE literally and did not adjust the FPR from the factory setting. Went for a test drive, didn't rev too well, tickover was rubbish. I put this down to the megasquirt still self tuning and needing to learn how the engine needed to run before it would run correctly. Took it out for another run down the M1, looked at temp gauge and it was reading 115degrees whilst we were doing 70mph up an incline. Pulled over quickly and let it cool down a bit, drove further and temp dropped to normal level. In town thing tried cooking again and i couldnt get the fan to come on to cool it down. By the time we got home the fan had come on and it was running at normal temp. Screwed a fuel pressure gauge into the FPR and found it was running at 1 bar not 3 bar. Adjusted the regulator and drove again - revved a lot better but still not startling performance. Did a compression test - 2 middle cylinders are 6 bar, other four are 14 bar. Oil was piddling out of the rocker cover breathers - time to give up on this engine!!!
I removed the engine and bolted in my spare engine that had been standing for 3 years. It was seized solid, i freed it up with oil down bores and persuading the crank to turn. Installed blower and all gumphf that goes with it and took it for a drive. Went a lot better than the old engine that had 2 muffed bores, did about 60 miles on various roads - not poking it hard in case it went wrong. Oil light started coming on willy nilly, i pulled over to check oil level - was fine. Drove off again thinking sensor or wiring ropey when........................grrrrrrrrrrrrrr engine just cut out at 70 mph going down slip road onto a1m. Called RAC, got dragged home. Engine is shot and mate is buying all supercharger bits to put on his 4i with a BOA in. Mate recons second parked up engine may have had some congealed oil in sump that got sucked into strainer and starved engine.
Am scouring around for a Ford V8 351 Windsor or Cleveland now instead.
Cheers

Real shame to hear this  Sad Alot of time and effort went into this, you must be miffed to say the least! Although the sound of a V8 really does sound exciting! I hope you keep us up to date on that  Cool

Cheers for the sentiment.
Miffed did slightly come into it. 2 1/2 months to fit replacement engine only to get one proper journey out of it - hey ho.
You will see the blower on mates XR4i i am sure. I am trying to talk him out of evil ford fair and go to Duxford with us instead.
I sure as hell will keep you posted on V8.
A bloke is trying to persuade me the Cleveland is a better option, whereas Windsor seems to have a lot more playable bits available. The Cleveland is carbed and has 350BHP / 330Ib/ft. Whereas i really want fuel injected engine.
Cheers
