Hi

My dad has decided to stop driving. So here's a great condition vehicle starting at £900, no reserve:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150703293985?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

There are four videos on the eBay page plus lots of info. For sale from Nov 20th-27th 2011.

In the first 2 hours it's got 4 watchers and 60 views, so here's hoping at least one of them go for it. It needs a good home.

Just had a quick look. Looks well nice. Good luck with the sale. How much do you think it's worth out of curiosity?

I don't really know. If it goes to someone who'll look after it, that's the main thing. It's a bit of Ford history. But it's only worth what someone will pay for it. It's got a few watchers and one person emailed me for more pictures in the first 2 hours. Fingers crossed.

you've had a better response than i have had in 5 weeks on the permanent temporary daily driver, does look like a really nice car, it deserves to go to another home where it will get looked after

Well to be concourse it does need bumpers and the boot dent fixed. Then a touch of laquer on the right rear wheel arch. I'm almost tempted to get it done but I'll not increase its value, and just end up spending money methinks. It's hard not to though.

41 watches last time but no bids. So I have took £300 off. Starting at £600. Surely it's worth that? Bad time of year to be selling a car.

If it don't go this time I'm taking the tax and fuel off/out and leaving it to the Spring.

I personally wouldn't budge under £600 mate. It's in good condition, and while it may not be an RS or XR, it will be a very rare classic. Irritating but sit on it. (Not in the style of Pottsy from Happy Days!)

Sold it privately this morning to a local guy. Got £725 for it. He got a great car for that. Says he will look after it and has already been researching about where to get bumpers from.

No bids on eBay.

Yes that's a relief, as you say nothing much is selling. I could see me sitting with it until the Spring. I did lose a bit of money because I spent doing it up (would have made more as it was) but hey, I saved another bit of Ford heritage that is now in really good condition, and as you say, it went to a good home. Local too.
