As you may be aware, Laurie has kindly offered to make the arrangements for a PBF stand. If you wish to be added to the list, put your name down here and as the time draws nearer we will let you know how you can go about making payments and receiving your tickets etc.
Only 9 weeks away folks so the quicker we can get this sorted the better  Cool

Right 12 of us so far which is great! End of the month I send the booking form off.

Time to post up the Rules and regulations - enjoy:

RULES AND REGULATIONS
 All drivers & vehicles are to be appropriately licensed & insured.
 Vehicles must obey the speed limit of 5mph on site.
 Vehicle movement is prohibited once on site and parked up by marshals.
 No dogs are allowed on site – this is a CAA safety precaution for all live airfields.
 No BBQ's or gas appliances are allowed on the Museum site.
 Driving competitions are not permitted.
 We do not allow overnight parking or camping.
 Smoking: All Museum buildings are strictly No Smoking.
 Signage: The Imperial War Museum Duxford will supply signage as required. All provided signage is the property of the Museum. All signage removed from site will be charged to the Car Club.
 Car owners who are aware of leaks on their cars must bring pans to avoid contamination of the grass areas
 Photography: Visitors who wish to film or take photographs for commercial use, i.e. where the intention is to publish, present or otherwise attempt to exploit the commercial value of the results, must get a permission from the Museum prior to the event.  A charge may apply. Please contact the Public Events Officer for further details.
 Trading: The club must inform the Museum at least two weeks prior to the event if they wish to invite traders or sell any car related items themselves. A charge may be applicable. Traders will need to send their Public Liability Insurance and risk assessments(s) to the Public Events Officer prior to the event. Traders /clubs are not allowed to sell refreshments.
 Public Liability Insurance: A gazebo, banner trailer unit and/or a flagpole are allowed as long as the club has Public Liability Insurance and they are erected safely. Failure to do so will result in being asked to take down the structure. A copy of the Public Liability Insurance will need to be send to IWM Duxford three weeks prior to the event.
 Waste: Please take all your waste home or deposit it in one of the collection points.
 The Imperial War Museum reserves the right to request an exhibitor and his/her guest(s) to leave the museum site at their discretion.
 Payment: Admission will be collected by a member of IWM staff at the entrance gate. The admission rate is £9.50 per person. Children under 16 can go in for free. NO further reductions are available as this is already a discounted rate compared to our standard admission of £16.50.

Hi All

Just to let you know I have already placed our PBF application form with Vickie at Duxford, and all 12 cars (so far) are booked in. She is willing to accept more cars if anyone else fancies going (or less if some drop out) - I just have to let her know final figures a couple of weeks before each event (or leave it as it is if still 12ish cars).

This application form covers PBF for both of the events this year, the Spring (May 6th) and Summer (Aug 5th) car shows. So everyone listed in the second from top posting are those going (this I will update from show to show, although it is usually the same people).

Arrival time is around 10am (up to noon). Event usually lasts to gone 4pm. Just turn up at Gate 1 (near the Land Warfare Hall side as per usual - if in doubt just follow all the other cars) and ask to be directed to wherever the PBF stand is on that day. £9.50 entry (see rules above) - there are no advance tickets to be recieved - just turn up on the day.

Any other questions let me know but I think everything is covered. Have a good day/s.  Cool

Hi Everyone

Only 2 weeks to go to the Spring Duxford event. I have sent off our PBF form and we are all in (all those on the second post of this thread). If there are any additions or changes let me know and I'm sure we can all fit in.

All you have to now is turn up around 10am, pay your money, and ask them where our stand is, and enjoy the day.  Looking forward to seeing you all again. Cool

If any of you wish to meet at the McDonalds or wherever, just add details to this thread.
